Recently, Baosteel's Thick Plate Division has achieved a new breakthrough in titanium plate production, successfully completing the second batch of 86 tons of titanium plate production, including a thickness of 16mm * rolling width of 3800mm, which is currently the widest titanium plate in China. The successful rolling of wide titanium plates has laid a solid foundation for further expanding the specifications of new materials in the future.

　　Based on the good cooperation of the first batch of 200 tons of titanium plates in the early stage, Yunnan Titanium Industry fully affirmed the rolling process and quality of the thick plate division, believing that the thick plate division has fully utilized the equipment and technical advantages of the 5M rolling mill in the rolling of titanium plate new materials, and has the ability and strength to further expand production capacity. On this basis, both parties have reached a consensus on the next step of cooperation.
*After the production of titanium plates, the Thick Plate Division organized technical experts to conduct a comprehensive review of the titanium plate production process, summarize process experience, further optimize the rolling process and plate shape control, and develop a 2.0 technical plan for the second batch of wide titanium plates. During the second round of production, technicians tracked the entire process and operators strictly followed the standard operation. Finally, the second round of rolling of titanium plates was successfully completed.
