Rolling methods for titanium thick walled pipes, titanium seamless pipes, and titanium alloy pipes

Titanium pipes can be divided into two categories: seamless pipes and welded pipes. They can be further divided into hot extruded pipes, hot-rolled pipes, cold-rolled pipes, welded pipes, and welded rolled pipes. Thick walled titanium pipes can be produced using hot extrusion or hot oblique rolling (two roll or three roll piercing mill) methods. Thin walled seamless titanium pipes (small diameter) need to be made by cold rolling or stretching. Some titanium alloys have low plasticity during cold rolling and are prone to cracking. In order to improve the rolling ability of titanium alloy pipes, warm rolling can be used.
